When the New Year comes many of us make resolutions to get healthier and lose the holiday weight. We start working out harder and eating less only to find that after 30 days we are burnt out and may end up going back to our old lifestyles. Some people often feel defeated and will most likely gain the weight back quickly. Let’s make small and permanent changes this year and take an entire week to incorporate these small healthier habits! I want you to use a whole week to make these small changes into an everyday habit and each week we will add a new healthy habit! Stick with me each week and you will not only begin to improve your health, you will have permanent health habits that will improve your overall lifestyle for you and your family!
WEEK 1: INCREASE YOUR WATER INTAKE
Water is so important for any person trying to detox or lose weight. Physiologists recommend drinking half our weight in ounces and if your active, you need to drink more. Start your day by drinking 2 to 3 cups of water before drinking or eating anything else. Carry a water bottle with you so you can continue to drink it during the day and keep track of how much your drinking. DRINK AT LEAST HALF YOUR WEIGHT IN OUNCES & TRACK IT EACH DAY! Dehydration causes headaches, fatigue, brain fog, decrease concentration, kidney problems, toxicity, acne and more. Drinking more water will provide you with these benefits:
- Weight Loss & Detoxification
- Improved Brain Function
- Younger & Clearer Looking Skin
- More Energy
- Better Digestion & Relief of Constipation
- Fewer Headaches & Muscle Cramps
- Reduced Risk of Bladder or Colon Cancer
- Better Mood & Better Immunity to Diseases
